Jorge Serro Joao 

Jorge Serrão Conhaque João is a business manager, researcher, university lecturer, and consultant with expertise in business and economic analysis. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management and a Master’s degree in Business Management from Zambezi University and is currently a PhD candidate in Economics at the Catholic University of Mozambique. 

He serves as a lecturer and researcher at the Open University ISCED, teaching in the areas of Management and Economics. He has extensive experience as an independent consultant in external evaluation processes for higher education programs, collaborating with the National Council for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (CNAQ) in accreditation and institutional assessment processes. 

He is the author and co-author of scientific articles and book chapters, with research focusing on development economics, financial education, inequality, sustainability, and community-based finance. His current research also includes virtual water trade, natural resource economics, input–output analysis, and the application of digital and institutional innovation to development. 

His professional interests include community finance, financial inclusion, institutional innovation, and digital economy applied to sustainable development.
